Welcome Jodi Mitchell to the GOA Team!

Guardians of Angels is pleased to Welcome Jodi Mitchell to the Guardians of Angels Team! Jodi Mitchell is a former volunteer with Berkeley Animal Care Services, Berkeley, California's municipal shelter.She walked, cuddled and socialized dogs, brought shelter pit bulls to Bad Rap Pit Bull dog handling class, cuddled and played with cats, shot videos and photos of animals for the shelter facebook adoption page and networked with rescue groups for at-risk animals. She also helped to found and was the first President of the Board for the non profit 'Friends of Berkeley Animal Care Services'; an autonomous group created to provide ongoing funding for the new shelter facility being built, as well as to fund and maintain an onsite, fully equipped veterinary suite, and to provide ongoing enrichment for the animals. She is proud to say that through the concerted efforts of a very dynamic and dedicated volunteer group, who perform outreach and advocacy and train and socialize animals, the Berkeley city shelter consistently maintains the lowest euthanasia rate of any municipal shelter in the State of California. Jodi currently has a family of 2 cats and one dog. She looks forward to sharing her talents, skills, enthusiasm and love of animals with GOA!
